The QR Network graduate development program helps graduates with professional and personal development, obtain further qualifications, and to build up contacts within professional networks.
Graduate Development Program
We currently have approximately 60 graduates across the four Engineering disciplines – Civil, Electrical, Telecommunications and Signalling – and are currently recruiting for additional places. The purpose of the program is to ensure that QR Network has a sustainable pool of graduates to meet our business needs.
There are abundant opportunities for professional and personal development, including hands on exposure to some of the greatest construction works Queensland has experienced from an engineering perspective.
Some of the major projects where graduates are involved include the Goonyella to Abbott Point expansion project, Blackwater duplication, Caboolture/Beerburrum duplication, Corinda to Darra third road , Robina to Varsity Lakes extension, Goonyella duplications and passing loops and Power systems strengthening – Blackwater, Metro and Goonyella systems.
Our graduates work across the QR business including QR Services (ISG), Passenger services and some of our alliance partners – Trackstar, Horizon and Coalstream alliance.
Locations for employment are across the state including Brisbane, Toowoomba, Mackay, Townsville, Jilalan and some construction sites such as Beerburrum, Varsity Lakes etc.
